While searching the Google I recently came across my name, but the web address was unfamiliar to me. It turned out to be the site belonging to my high school friend Brad Parent, a member of the band we had back in 1979. This was at the time I was living in Cairo, Egypt. The name of the band was Second Floor Band and we performed mostly on high school parties. Brad managed to preserve recording of one of the gigs. These are cassette tape recording of low sonic but great historical value, and I was very excited to have a second chance to listen to them. | august 2007. "Push Your Game" by Alex Mikić junior |
| During his recent visit to Belgrade, Alex asked me to help him out with a song he had in mind. We only had a chance to meet a couple of times but we did manage to put the song together. Alex is my brother's younger son (only 16 years old) and he already has a successful musical career behind him. He lives in Hong Kong, China. | march 2007. The Spartans - an art exhibition |
A photo art exhibition named The Spartans, by the author Vladimir Tatarevic, will be held on march 1st, 2007. at the Beton Hall in Belgrade, beginning at 8 o'clock in the evening. The music supporting this performance was written by Aleksandar Mikic.

| december 2006. Award |
The sequential of short animated TV commercials for the Guarana brand, featuring an awl as the main character, was recently awarded at the annual UEPS competition. In a relatively short time span, a total of 27 pieces were done. The challenge was to bring this character to life applying only audio effects and creating a tonal ambience. An one minute collection is put together and is now available on the References page. |

| november 2005. Knjaz Miloš - For All Times |

A piece I composed for the Knjaz Milos brand entitled For All Times (Za Sva Vremena, originally) has stirred great interest within certain circles. A few web based forums have initiated discussions on who was responsible for the production of this piece of music. So let me just clarify that there were a number of alternative versions in the works, three of which were adopted for the final campaign. The guitars were performed by Mr.Dragutin Guta Jakovljevic and the accordion by Mr. Bane Vasic. The three versions mentioned were named Pop, Radio and Heritage and appeared on a CD release published for promotional purposes during the film premiere of Ivkova Slava. The release contains all three numbers together with Nista bez Knjaza, a peace composed by Mr. Zeljko Joksimovic. The discussions are in Serbian language but visit if you like:

| january 2005. Launch of the Music magazine |
| A brand new magazine named Music has just been launched under the corporate wing of the Skymusic enterprise. The topics covered are related to different aspects within the music industry. I take both pride and pleasure to be part of the editorial team and look forward to writing a column under the name Audio Engineer. This column will cover theoretical and practical topics regarding, you guessed it, duties of an audio engineer. |
