Aleksandar was born in Belgrade, Serbia in December of 1962. He graduated from the elementary school and music school (Dr. Vojislav Vuckovic), at the age of 14. At that age he was already very much into composing his own music, which drove his piano teacher crazy, having to make him play classical music instead of jazz and pop improvisations which he preferred, prior to the beginning of his lessons. The solution, he thought, was in forming his first music band in 1975., named Park. The band featured, among others, Goran Cavajda on drums, later certainly better known as the drummer with Elektricni Orgazam band. Park used rehearsal rooms at he Pioneer sports centre, sharing facilities with BG5. Aleksandar soon joined this new band and, after a few years of public performances and rehearsals, the band won in the final of a local competition in 1978, performing on Tasmajdan stadium and giving the band the right to record for the first time in a commercial studio, as well as appearing on local radio stations giving interviews. This visit to a commercial music studio turned out to play a major role later in Aleksandar's life, as it turned out to be the choice for furthering his education. That same year, BG5 performed as a cover band at the annual Belgrade Summer festival with different performers and singers, including Dragana Saric, today known as Baby Doll. However, at the end of this year, Aleksandar leaves Serbia to spend next four years abroad, eventually graduating from the American high school in Cairo, Egypt. Returning to Belgrade, he studied economy and performed with different bands both on stage and increasingly in studio as a session keyboard player. Understanding that much of this studio time contributed toward building enthusiasm for the technical aspect of working in a studio, in 1989. Aleksandar signed in at the prestige SAE (School of Audio Engineering) Institute in London, and graduated two years later with distinction grading. During his stay in England, Aleksandar worked with EMI and briefly at the Silk Sound post-production facilities. Unfortunately, political unrests at the beginning of the 90's in former Yugoslavia, brought Aleksandar back home late in 1991. where he found interest in yet another area of sound engineering and musical production - radio broadcasting. He starts off with radio Politika and swiftly joins a young crew with an ambition in creating the first privately owned, non-political radio station in the country; radio Penguin. This radio station went on to win both the hearths of the public and every major competition in the area of commercial production, for the period of four consecutive years. Aleksandar worked on program production and was later appointed Editor in Chief. During his work with Penguin Radio, he produced in excess of 400 commercials and other radio jingles. True to his first love, he also worked with a commercial studio as an engineer, programmer and keyboard player. This went on until 2001., period where many songs and jingles have been composed and produced. The next few years saw Aleksandar working with a young company/studio Strip producing an album, web presentation, and animated music videos. Independently from this he also produced jingles for BK and B92 television stations, City radio, Venus radio and M-FM radio stations, he strengthened his cooperation with different marketing agencies and worked closely with such companies/brands as The Coca Cola company, Knjaz Milo¹, Aqua Viva, Guarana, Delta corporation, IDEA, Reemtsma, Finetti, Ardo, Voda Vrnjci, Grand Kafa, the Belgrade Fare, Lucky Strike, P&G and others.
